Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
• Develop individualized counselling plans based on the unique needs of each student.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for students to express their feelings and concerns.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to help students cope with stress, anxiety, and other emotional issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Implement preventive strategies and workshops to address common issues faced by students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and progress.
• Stay updated with the latest research and developments in child psychology and counselling.
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that prioritizes mental health and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, School Counselling, or a related field.
• Proven experience in counselling children and adolescents, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development, behaviour management, and counselling techniques.
• Strong communication and active listening skills to connect with students effectively.
• Empathy, patience, and understanding to create a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students' needs.
• Certification or licensure in counselling is an advantage.
